Ravivar Vrat Kin Rashiyon Ke Liye Hai

Ravivar Vrat, or Sunday fasting, is dedicated to Lord Surya—the Sun God. According to Vedic astrology, this vrat is especially beneficial for people belonging to Leo (Singh Rashi) because the Sun is the ruling planet of this zodiac sign. It may also be observed by individuals with Aries (Mesh Rashi), Sagittarius (Dhanu Rashi), and Scorpio (Vrishchik Rashi) to strengthen confidence, leadership, courage, determination, and social reputation.

People experiencing a weak or negatively placed Sun in their birth chart may also observe Ravivar Vrat under the guidance of a qualified astrologer. Traditionally, this fast is believed to support career growth, improve relationships with authority figures and fathers, and bring vitality, self-respect, recognition, and mental strength.

Ravivar Vrat is considered particularly suitable for Singh Rashi, as Surya Dev is its ruling deity and planetary lord. People born under this sign may observe the fast to enhance their natural leadership abilities, confidence, dignity, and decision-making power. The vrat can also be helpful for Mesh Rashi, whose ruling planet Mars shares a friendly relationship with the Sun, and for Dhanu Rashi, whose ruling planet Jupiter is traditionally regarded as friendly toward Surya. Individuals belonging to Vrishchik Rashi may also perform this vrat to strengthen courage, willpower, and administrative abilities.

Apart from zodiac signs, Ravivar Vrat may be recommended when the Sun is weak, afflicted, debilitated, or unfavourably placed in a person’s horoscope. Astrologically, a weak Sun is often associated with low confidence, lack of recognition, professional obstacles, strained relations with authority, or difficulty expressing leadership qualities. Worshipping Surya Dev, offering water to the rising Sun, chanting Surya mantras, and following the rules of Ravivar Vrat are traditionally believed to reduce these challenges.

Devotees may begin the day by taking a bath, wearing clean red, saffron, or light-coloured clothes, and offering water to Surya Dev in a copper vessel. Chanting “Om Suryaya Namah” or reciting the Aditya Hridaya Stotra is also considered auspicious. Salt, non-vegetarian food, alcohol, and negative behaviour are generally avoided during the vrat.

However, suitability should not be determined by the zodiac sign alone. The Sun’s position, house, strength, conjunctions, and planetary periods in the complete birth chart should also be examined. Har Ghar Pandit Ji recommends consulting an experienced astrologer before adopting Ravivar Vrat as a specific astrological remedy. When observed with sincere devotion and proper guidance, this vrat is believed to invite the blessings of Surya Dev and promote confidence, health, honour, discipline, and success.
