Shri Hanuman Aarti is a sacred devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman, one of the most respected and beloved deities in Hindu tradition. Lord Hanuman represents extraordinary strength, courage, intelligence, humility, discipline, loyalty, and complete devotion to Lord Rama. The hymn celebrates Lord Hanuman’s unmatched physical strength as well as his deep wisdom and gentle nature. Although he possessed immense power, he always remained humble and used his abilities in the service of Lord Rama. Shri Hanuman Aarti also remembers Lord Hanuman’s heroic deeds in the Ramayana. When Mata Sita was taken to Lanka by Ravana, Lord Hanuman crossed the vast ocean in search of her. He delivered Lord Rama’s message, gave her hope, and assured her that Lord Rama would rescue her. He later displayed his divine power by burning Lanka and returning safely with valuable information. During the battle, he brought the life-saving Sanjeevani herb to protect Lakshmana. These actions reflect his bravery, quick intelligence, determination, and unconditional dedication.

Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered especially important for Hanuman worship. Many devotees observe a fast, visit a Hanuman temple, recite the Hanuman Chalisa, and conclude their prayers with Shri Hanuman Aarti on these days. The Aarti is also performed during Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami, religious gatherings, Sundarkand recitations, and special ceremonies organised in homes or temples.
